You've found an Internet article that supports your view of a research subject. The author seems to have excellent credentials,

and the article is very well written. However, the author seems to be using outdated information to support her claims, and you can't find other articles that corroborate her information. Which of the following statements best describes what your course of action should be and why?      A. You should use the article as a reference. The author is obviously an expert in her field and the information doesn't need to be "nitpicked." B. You should not use the article as a reference. The lack of corroboration and outdated information outweigh the author's credentials. C. You should use the article as a reference. The important thing is that you've found a source that will bolster your arguement. D. You should not use the article as a reference. Information from the Internet isn't trustworthy.

Which of the following statements is unbiased or balanced? *
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

The Cardinals will challenge the El Dorado Wildcats this Friday evening at Cardinal Stadium.

Explanation:

The second sentence is biased because the term "mighty" is used to describe the Cardinals. Also, stating that the Cardinals "will surely triumph over the Wildcats" shows bias...the person making the statement is stating his or her biased opinion regarding the game.

What is faulty parallelism?
Ratling [72]
Faulty parallelism is a construction in which two or more parts of a sentence are roughly equivalent in meaning but not parallel (or grammatically similar) in form. Faulty parallelism most often occurs with paired constructions and items in a series.

How do you write a good essay?
Anton [14]
That depends on what kind of essay we are talking about. If you are talking about a persuasive essay, then use different appeals and techniques, like ethos, logos, pathos, facts and figures, or testimonial. If we're talking about a narrative essay, then use plenty of imagery and sensory details, plus make sure to have plenty of characterization for your dynamic characters.
