The Island of Doctor Moreau is a novel that depicts the role of human science and its responsibilities. As it portrays a doctor (Moreau) who appears to build and work on his creation without thinking about the consequence of his actions. One hell of a scientists, who manipulates beasts through his work of creation and operations.

Focusing on vivisection, a kind of operations performed mostly on living organisms for the purpose of experimental science. The novel explores the intircate relationship between Doctor Moreau and the other creatures considered as animal, beast or humanized animal, due to their specialized nature, such creature as Swine Men, Leopard man, Dog man etc, living on ethical codes on the island together.

The story was told through the account of a certian character known as Prendrick who wondered at what point humanity is considered a beast or human, or if at all the "humanized animals" or creatures in the novel exhibits a better or human characteristics than the real man (Moreau) or not.
