7. Personally, I would like the answer to be D. But, the question mentions Halo and Half Life which require you to do something over and over until you finish it. So, the answer is B.

8. I was stumped between answers A and C, but now I'm sure that the answer is A. If it was just a plain ol' puzzle game, there would most likely not be dialogue with other people. So, I think it's a roleplaying game. A.

Answer:

7.A modern, popular way to deliver story used in franchise like Halo and half life is:

D. to deliver story via interactions with AI characters so that it's not directly connected to game actions

Correct question 8 is:

8. A game that mixes puzzles or problem solving with environmental action and dialogue with characters would most likely be a(n) _____ game.

D. Adventure

Explanation:

7. Games like Half Life and Halo introduced innovative scripted sequences, where a predefined series of events occurs when triggered by player location or actions, and usually the player has little to no control over them, which became very influential on the First Person Shooter genre. They are commonly used in games like Half Life to bring new enemies or challenges to the player in a surprising way while they are still playing.

8. The Adventure genre in video games refers to video games in which the player has control over the protagonist in an interactive story driven by exploration and puzzle-solving, but also have an action element where the player controls the character during combat or fighting situations. They focus heavily on story and character arch.
