Hi there!

The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is P = 2 (l + w).

We can simplify this formula so that we can find the solutions easier.
P = 40

40 = 2 (l + w)
divide both sides by 2

40/2 = l + w
20 = l + w

So the length + width has to equal to 20.

So your answers would be B , C , D.
Hope this helped! :)

scores on a college entrance examination are normally distributed with a mean of 500 and a standard deviation of 100% of people
Softa [21]

We have

\mu = 500

\sigma = 100

425 corresponds to a z of

z_1 = \dfrac{425 - 500}{100} = -\dfrac 3 4

575 corresponds to

z_2 = \dfrac{575 - 500}{100} = \dfrac 3 4

So we want the area of the standard Gaussian between -3/4 and 3/4.

We look up z in the standard normal table, the one that starts with 0 at z=0 and increases.  That's the integral from 0 to z of the standard Gaussian.

For z=0.75 we get p=0.2734. So the probability, which is the integral from -3/4 to 3/4, is double that, 0.5468.

You have prizes to revea
MissTica

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is {-19, 19}

The range is {0,16}

We can write as ordered pairs to obtain:

(-19,0), (19,16)

None of the first coordinates of the ordered pairs repeats.

Hence the relation represents a function.

See attachment for mapping diagram.

Please help! Does anyone know how to work this surface area question out???
Alik [6]
Surface area of a cylinder=(2xxradiusxheight)+(xradius^2x2)

Radius=Diameter/2
Radius=6/2
=3 m
Height=14 m
Surface area=(2xx3x14)+(x3^2x2)
Surface area=263.8937829+56.54866776
Surface area=320.4424507 m^2
=320.4 m^2

Tin of paint: 90 m^2/3.70 euros
Number of tins needed=320.4/90
=3.56 cans of paint
Price=3.56x3.70
Price=13.172 euros

Hope this helps!
