The war in Iraq was successful in removing dictator Saddam Hussein from power. Which term would BEST describe how the country wa
Svetradugi [14.3K]
Saddam formally rose to power in 1979, although he had already been the de facto head of Iraq for several years. He suppressed several movements, particularly Shi'a and Kurdish movements, which sought to overthrow the government or gain independence,and maintained power during the Iran–Iraq War and the Gulf War. Whereas some in the Arab world lauded Saddam for opposing the United States and attacking Israel he was widely condemned for the brutality of his dictatorship. The total number of Iraqis killed by the security services of Saddam's government in various purges and genocides is conservatively estimated to be 250,000. Saddam's invasions of Iran and Kuwait also resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths. He acquired the title "Butcher of Baghdad".

In 2003, a coalition led by the U.S. invaded Iraq to depose Saddam, in which U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair falsely accused him of possessing weapons of mass destruction and having ties to al-Qaeda. Saddam's Ba'ath party was disbanded and elections were held. Following his capture on 13 December 2003, the trial of Saddam took place under the Iraqi Interim Government. On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted by an Iraqi court of crimes against humanity related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi'a, and sentenced to death by hanging. His execution was carried out on 30 December 2006.

\large\huge\green{\sf{Answer:-}}

Local organizations play an important role in social reform. We can see that governmental and non-governmental organizations are involved in the activities of social reform. There are various organizations of local level such as youth club, people's awareness club, mother's group, women's group, etc. The local bodies like village development commitee, municipality, ward commitee, etc. have also been estabilished for social reform. They carry out different programs to solve the social problems and bring a new change in a society. Such local organizations have done exemplary work although some have been passive. It is our duty to wake such passive organizations up and give them pressure to work. We have to co-operate with them in their progammes.

fenix001 [56]

Answer:

The anwer is enmeshment.

Explanation:

Under enmeshment, family members might not clearly define the boundaries that surround them. This can lead to a lack of autonomy and independence.

An example of this kind of behaviour is when parents focus too much on a child's sucesses or mistakes, as well as their actions and emotions, and could attempt to control the child's ideas. This tends to be problematic when developing a sense of self, and for regulating emotions.
