Effect of Typhoon Haiyan:

Typhoon Haiyan was one of the strongest hurricanes that swept over the Philippines with bust reaching 305 km/h. At that time the Pacific Ocean was very ripe which is a great helping factor for typhoons that gain their strength from absorbing the heat out of the water.

The strong front carried along a massive seawater wall called storm surge which extended to over 7.5 m high, reaching by that its maximum intensity over the coast before making its great landfall. Due to these reasons, the hurricane ruined a group of many islands and caused deadly damage to the Philippines.
