Well that’s not really the definition of a democracy. A democracy is defined by a type of government in which all ELIGIBLE members of the state can partake in decision making through the election of representatives. Having the ability to Dissent from a political decision, protest inadequate living standards, pushing for more economic justice, protesting against presidential actions etc raises public awareness, and warrants some type of change if those elected officials want to have people’s vote next time around.

Hope it helps.

In "An Episode of War" by Stephen Crane, what is the main reason that the lieutenant is wounded?
ozzi

Answer:

He is a victim.

Explanation:

Stephen Crane's short story "An Episode of War" tells the story of a nameless lieutenant who was hit by a bullet while distributing coffee to his fellow men. His arm that got hit didn't seem to be serious, with him hardly realizing he had been hit in the first place. But when he saw that the wound had been a bit serious, he decided to go to the makeshift hospital to get medical help. the wound may have seem insignificant but when he went to get medical care, he ended up amputating his arm. This, according to the narrator, is "<em>the story of how the lieutenant lost his arm</em>".
