Geography is the setting of history's story. This can be seen, for example in the Prairies of Canada which used to be overrun by large herds of bison but then they were hunted almost to extinction and then the new immigrants began cultivating the land with crops favorable to the conditions like wheat, canola etc. so that the Canadian Prairies became known as the "e bread basket of the world". History can affect geography too, for example when Bolivia lost its' war with Chile and also it's access to the Pacific Ocean so its' geography changed. Or another example is when the silver mines of the Erzgebirge in eastern Germany consumed a lot of timber for mining and smelting, then deforestation took place as far back as the1500's. Or in Honduras, when the large fruit companies like United Fruit pumped much water from the Sula River for their banana plantations, it caused increased silting of the river and so the channel couldn't handle  the increased flood water of Hurricane Fifi in 1974 so the result was widespread flooding.

Government institutions affect culture by: A. Deciding which civil rights will be protected B. Creating laws to establish traffi
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

A. Deciding which civil rights will be protected

Explanation:

Government institutions affects culture in that they decide which civil rights will be protected or not. This selective choice on what rights to protect or not have dire consequences on the culture of a people.

  • Culture is the way of life of a people in a particular region.
  • Civil rights are a group of rights which protects the people within a democracy.
  • By so doing, some of these rights usually collude with the culture and norm of a people.
  • Some cultures have restrictions on fashion but civil rights emphasizes the rights of expression.
  • This can lead to collusion if a common ground is not found.

Therefore, government institutions affect culture usually by deciding which civil rights will be protected.
