The territorial acquisition that was a result of a rebellion supported by the US military was Hawaii. Hawaii became a state in 1959. It had been an American territory with partial independence before that. Followinf several rebellions in this territory, Hawaii finally became the 50th American state in 1959, being America's most recent state to join the United States of America.

American people wanted to annex Hawaii, and the US Military supported. However, they were not aware that the people of Hawaii were not willing to be annexed, and neither was the sovereign ruler of Hawaii.
