The sentence with a conjunction that correctly coordinates the two independent clauses and demonstrates one event ocurring before another event can occur is B) "We may go to the movies later, but I need to do my homework first".

<u>This sentence contains the coordinating conjunction "but", which is joining two independent clauses</u>, that is, clauses that can stand on its own since they include all the information that is necessary to become complete sentences. <u>The two independent clauses in this sentence are</u><u> "We may go to the movies later"</u><u> and </u><u>"I need to do my homework first"</u>. Moreover, the word "first" in the second clause indicates that the event described in this clause occurrs before the event described in the first clause. This is also indicated by the word "later" in the first clause. Furthermore, "but" suggests the existence of the speaker's condition of doing homework before going to the movies.

What is the relationship between the major students choose and their future success? Citeevidence from the text to support your
prohojiy [21]

Answer: The majors greatly influence the students' future.

Explanation:

The major, as the field of study that a student chooses to focus on, greatly influences his/her future. Naturally, future employers will give advantage to those students that focused on a particular field that is directly connected to the job he/she is about to perform. It is also the student's GPA that can have a positive impact on his/her career. Namely, according to one theory (known as <em>screening theory</em>), employers will rather hire students with higher GPA. Another theory suggests that, because students often have very little working experience, their college grades are the only source of information regarding their skills and habits.

kvv77 [185]
When reading this excerpt I understood authors intentions, I bet, in full measure. As he mentioned - the war is murder, thousands of people fighting for particular idea and nothing can't stop them, neither moral issues nor ethical rules. All these people are guilties of a global crime and author at any price will not support such events. Unlikely that all of these people will be punished for their mistakes or sins they have made, but if we will talk about regular crime, such as author described in the text - this actions must be sentenced to justice.
So I choose this option :
<span>B.Paine says that war is terrible, and ordinarily nothing could have convinced him to support it. However, he also believes that if a person or group commits severe crimes against him, that party should be punished, no matter who they are.</span>
