Since I don't like having fractions in my equations, I'm going to multiply everything by a common multiple of all of the denominators.

6(5/2)+6(2/3)+6n=6(1/6)
15+4+6n=1
19+6n=1
6n=-18
n=-3

The value of n is -3

Good luck!

Find the area of △ABC with side lengths b = 6 and c = 17, and included angle A = 135∘. Round your answer to the nearest tenth
Cloud [144]

Answer:

<u>Area = 36.1 sq. units</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

We will use the "included angle area" formula for a triangle to solve this problem.

The formula is:

A=\frac{1}{2}abSinC

Where

a and b are the two sides given

C is the angle given BETWEEN the two sides

From the problem, we can write:

the two sides are 6 & 17, so that will be "a" and "b" of the formula

the included angle is 135, so that will be "C" of the formula

Substituting, we find the answer:

A=\frac{1}{2}abSinC\\A=\frac{1}{2}(6)(17)Sin(135)\\A=36.06

Rounded to 1 decimal place,

<u>Area = 36.1 sq. units</u>

A cube has its length doubled and its width and height remain the same. How does the new volume compare to the old volume?
Evgen [1.6K]

The new value will be double of the old volume.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let l be the length of cube

w be the width of the cube

and

h be the height of the cube

then the volume of cube is given by:

V = lwh

Now,

Doubling the the length, 2l

The new volume will be:

V_n = 2lwh\\V_n = 2(lwh)\\V_n = 2V

Hence,

The new value will be double of the old volume.
