Can anyone explain to me about iodine test and benedicts test??​

iodine test is a test which is used to test the presence of starch in a substance. on the addition of iodine solution, the substance turns into a blue-black colour and in the absence of starch it remains brown in colour which is the colour of the iodine solution.

Benedict’s Test is used to test for simple carbohydrates. The Benedict’s test identifies reducing reducing sugars which have free ketone or aldehyde functional groups. Benedict’s solution can be used to test for the presence of glucose in urine.
