Ok so I heard this question a few times already and couldn't remember how it went so I decided to put my brain to the test, I used my algebra to use and complete it.

If the Earth were shrunk down to the size of a basketball (radius:4.69 inches) the Moon would be a tennis ball (radius: 1.2768 inches, to be exact) 23.5 feet away.

The Sun would be a 42.6-foot sphere (source) located 1.7 miles away.

The closest star, Proxima Centauri, would still be 463,151 miles away – almost twice the distance of the actual moon."

A group of 18 people ordered soup and sandwiches for lunch. Each person in the group either ordered one soup or one sandwich . T
kkurt [141]
Let's say a = number of ordered soups, b = number of ordered sandwiches.

Then 4.5a + 7.75b = 113.50, and a and b are integers between 0 and 18 inclusive.

How do we tackle this? If all ordered soup, the cost would be $81, so we'll have at least 4 sandwiches. If all ordered sandwich, the cost would be $139.5, so at most 15 sandwiches were ordered. You also know an even number of sandwiches was ordered, to let the price end at 50 cent.

If you brute-force from 4,6,8,10,12 to 14 sandwiches, you find the answer at 10 sandwiches and 8 soups.

10*7.75 + 8*4.50 = 113.50

Step2247 [10]

Solving the expression \frac{4-5i}{2+3i} we get -\frac{7}{13}-\frac{22i}{13}

So, Option A is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to solve the expression: \frac{4-5i}{2+3i}

Multiplying and dividing by 2-3i

=\frac{4-5i}{2+3i}*\frac{2-3i}{2-3i}\\=\frac{4-5i*2-3i}{2+3i*2-3i}\\=\frac{4(2-3i)-5i(2-3i)}{(2)^2-(3i)^2}\\=\frac{8-12i-10i+15i^2)}{4-9i^2}\\We\,\,know\,\, i^2=-1\\=\frac{8-12i-10i+15(-1)}{4-9(-1)}\\=\frac{8-15-12i-10i}{4+9}\\=\frac{-7-22i}{13}\\=-\frac{7}{13}-\frac{22i}{13}

So, solving the expression \frac{4-5i}{2+3i} we get -\frac{7}{13}-\frac{22i}{13}

So, Option A is correct.
