For #3, you just have to plug in the numbers for x.
It tells you what to substitute for x in the question. (x = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6)

For example, let's substitute 0 for x.
6x - x² (the 2 means square the number, or multiply it by itself)
6(0) - (0)²
0 - 0
= 0.

You'll do that to all the numbers (1-6) and fill out the table.

For #4, you have to solve using the distributive property to find out if the equations on both sides are equal.

I'll do the first one for you.

6a - 8 = 2 (3a - 5)
6a - 8 = 6a - 10
They're not equal.

Pi/6 is the reference angle for:<br><br> 3pi/6<br><br> 5pi/6<br><br> 13pi/6<br><br> 8pi/6
Elanso [62]

Answer:

\frac{5\pi}{6}, \frac{13\pi}{6}

Step by step

Remember, a reference angle is a positive acute angle that represents an angle θ of any measurement.

a)

\frac{3\pi}{6}=90^\circ, then its reference angle is \frac{\pi}{2}

b)

\frac{5\pi}{6}=150^ \circ is in the second cuadrant, then its reference angle is 180^ \circ -150^{\circ}=30^{\circ}=\frac{\pi}{6}

c)

\frac{13\pi}{6}=390^\circ=360^\circ+30^\circ, then it is in the first cuadrant and the reference angle is 30^\circ =\frac{\pi}{6}.

d)

\frac{8\pi}{6}=240^\circ and it is in the third cuadrant, then its reference angle is 240^\circ -180^\circ=60^\circ=\frac{\pi}{3}

If a cylinder has a height of 12 cm and a radius of 4 cm, what do you do to find the volume of the cylinder?
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

V = 603.43 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

V = πr²h

Where r = 4 cm, h = 12 cm

V = 22/7 × 4² × 12

V = 22/7 × 4 × 4 × 12

V = 4224/7

V = 603.43 cm³

Y=6x+20 substitution
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

-10/3 or -3.33

Step-by-step explanation:

substitute 0 for y

0 = 6x + 20

-20 = 6x + 20 - 20               subtract 20 on both sides

-20 = 6x                               divide by 6 on each side

-20/6 = 6x/6

x = -20/6                             simplify

x =   -10/3
