Biology

The correct answer is C. DNA or protein sequences of shared genes.

Explanation:

Evolution is a major theory in biology that purposes over time organisms change and they even led to new species due to changes or mutation in genes and observable traits. According to evolution, related organisms evolved from a common ancestor and therefore they have similar DNA or proteins sequences that lead to common features.

According to this, the most accurate way to know whether two or more organisms are related or not or their evolutionary relationship is through DNA or protein sequences of shared genes because only organisms that evolved from a common ancestor would share part of their DNA or protein sequences. Also, common behaviors or physical features do not necessarily show an evolutionary relationship.

Group translocation is a special _______ transport process across the cytoplasmic membranes of _______.
sasho [114]

Answer:

active; prokaryotes

Explanation:

Active transport can be defined as the movement of molecules across cell membranes against a concentration gradient, i.e., from a region of low concentration to a region of high concentration. Group translocation is a specialized type of active transport observed in prokaryotic cells. In group translocation, the transported substance is chemically modified during its movement, thereby the cell membrane becomes impermeable to this substance once it is within the cell. In bacteria, the phosphotransferase system is a type of group translocation that uses phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) as a source of energy to transport sugar molecules into the cell.

Write a paragraph on summer vacation about 150 words
olga55 [171]

Answer:

While I enjoy going to school, I love the two month-long summer vacation as much. I get to do many interesting activities. I get enough free time during the vacation to pursue my hobbies of reading and playing the guitar.

During my summer holidays my parents also plan a nice holiday for the family. We go to interesting places and learn many new things. During our summer vacations we have visited the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the desert areas in Rajasthan and the seaside in Tamil Nadu. When we go to different places in the country we eat the local food, and buy the local spices and other food items for use at home.

I like to take photographs of the beautiful landscape and the local people in the different places we visit. I have an interesting collection of photographs that I have taken in the many visits we have made during my vacations.

We also visit our grandparents who live in Nainital, in the hills of Uttarakhand. Visiting our grandparents is special because they dote on my brother and me, and pamper us a great deal.

I always look forward to my summer vacation as it is very enjoyable.
