We celebrate Veterans Day to give thanks to those who serve/served for us in the armed forces. It gives temperance to those who have fallen in battle, and it “good luck” and gratitude to those who are fighting/volunteered for us. Veterans Day is the anniversary of when the armistice was signed. The armistice ended the World Was 1 hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. For that reason, the day is dedicated to veterans as a thank you.
