Answer: B)  Indirect Characterization

Explanation: Indirect characterization is the process by which the writer shows the character's personality through speech, actions and appearance. When you watch a movie or television show, you can usually gather what type of person the main character is based on the character's actions and reactions in different situations.

Option d). The literary term that best matches with the quote provided is the one of indirect characterization.

Indirect characterization is a literary technique in which a character's personality is described through speech, actions or appearance instead of a direct characterization where the audience is directly told about the character's personality.

"Mildred arose and began to move around the room, picking things up and putting them down" is a quote that uses indirect characterization through the description of the action that the character of Mildred is performing. What revision should be made to maintain parallel structure?
Nikitich [7]

In order to maintain the parallel structure sentence (3) should be revised to read, “My next stop will be old Mr. Butterworth’s for a chat with my favourite neighbour.”

In this passage each sentence starts in a similar way as the author has decided to list each activity he/she will do in his/her visit to the home town by using “My first stop….”, “My second stop….”, ““My next stop….” and “My last stop…” at the beginning of each sentence. In addition, the writer resorts to the simple future tense when he/she says what he/she will do in each stop and then he/she adds the purpose of theses action.

For example: “…., my first stop will be my uncle’s old gas station to fill the car”. In this fragment, the author starts his/her list of activities with the phrase “my first stop”, then he/she continues with a simple future tense to explain what he/she is going to do “will be my uncle’s old gas station” and finally he says the aim of this stop “to fill the car”. This grammatical structure is repeated in the subsequent sentences.
