<u>Pluralist Ignorance</u> occurs when <u>a person neglects their own concepts or ideas because they feel that most people have an idea contrary to their own</u>, therefore avoid giving opinions to avoid prejudices or simply feel part of a minority, such as in the case of Jack, who despite being confused does not ask because no other student does, surely because he assimilates that all his classmates understood and does not want to look like a fool.
