Answer:

The correct answer is Physical or Kinesthetic and Social learning.

Explanation:

The types of learning that happened during Boris's class are:

Kinesthetic: In this type of learning you use your body, hands or touch to help you get new information. It's about action and movement. You physically touch objects to know how they work, this could help memorize information. As the registered nurse decided to work with real patients, the students could really feel the vital signs.

Social: In this type of learning the work is done by many people, in groups, and not just one individual. It gets easier to obtain or memorize new information when working in teams. There are so many different ideas that can contribute to the problem's solution. In this case, the registered nurse decided to break the class into four groups and assign each one a patient.

The nurse is demonstrating the process of taking vital signs, then the students practice taking vital signs. This is observational learning.

The two factors about the ecology of the great plains did farmers fail to understand

The role the native grasses played in the environment

That local weather patterns were subject to periodic drought

What factors about the ecology of the great plains did farmers fail to understand?

 • Environmental change has been significantly less drastic than the two-thirds of the grassland that farmers were unable to successfully plow for crops.
 • The majority of such area still has native vegetative cover, despite the fact that virtually all of it has been extensively grazed by cattle and in much smaller amounts by sheep and horses.
 • Two key climatic gradients—an east-west gradient of increasing precipitation and a north-south gradient of increasing temperature—which both produce drought—control the spread of both natural ecosystems and land use management.

The maltose molecule can be broken down into two individual glucose molecules with the help of an enzyme produced within a cell.
lys-0071 [83]
I believe the response would be D. Increasing the pH within the cell. This may be the case, because through changing the pH of the cell, the enzyme may form new unwanted interactions, which may affect the arrangement and the structure of the active site, which is will affect the ability of the maltose molecules to bind and undergo the breakdown into glucose molecules.

All enzymes work well or optimally within a given or particular pH. Going above or below will cause additional hydrogen bonds that might form, and other interactions affecting function.

Do research about new hypothesis that has replaced an older explanation of something in the natural world
Gre4nikov [31]
I believe that what is meant with the phrase "older explanation" is none other that superstition. Therefore, I will give you one superstitious belief which is now explained by science.

In Southeast Asia, people used to believe that St. Elmo's fire appears in remote areas because a bloody battle occured in that place leaving disembodied souls of the dead wandering there in the night and even in sunshine!

For generations, many people believed that this is a fact and some even say that these apparitions are diabolical or demonic in nature. So often, caution is advised to people whenever a ball of fire appears out in the open.

However, recent breakthroughs in the 21st century helped scientists to explain this mysterious phenomena. They found out that St. Elmo's fire is actually plasma, nothing special. Now, plasma is considered one of the states of matter! But mind you, it still does not explain why St. Elmo's fire seems to have a mind of its own!
