Tomas tiptoed across the room. He made sure not to walk on the spot that always creaked. He opened the squeaky door as slowly as

possible. He took one last look in the crib and smiled. Was anything more beautiful than a sleeping baby? Softly he closed the nursery door and headed down the hall. It had been a long night.
What can you infer from this paragraph?

A. Tomas was ready to start a new day.
B. Tomas's house needed some repairs.
C. Tomas had spent a long time getting his child to sleep.
D. Tomas did not enjoy being a father.

A literal translation of a text
Darina [25.2K]
A literal translation of a text is word-for-word translation from one language to another. It does not consider the sense or thought of the sentence.

For example: Translating from Tagalog to English. Tagalog is the national dialect of the Filipino people.

"Nahuhulog na ako sa iyo" means I'm falling for you.

If a literal translation is done, this would be the result

Nahuhulog = falling
na = (no english equivalent)
ako = me
sa = (no english equivalent)
iyo = you

"falling NA me SA you" is the literal translation. I'm falling for you is the translation of the essence of the message.

What is wrong with Elizabeth's dining room table?<br> In the help
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

~Hi hope this helps

Miss Hilly notices an “L shaped crack” in Miss Leefolt’s dining room table. This is one of two of the largest clues which signify the fact that “Help” (the book written within “The Help”) was set in Jackson, Mississippi. The “L shaped crack” in Miss Leefolt’s dining room table was referenced in “Help” and through analyzation would prove that the book in fact included Elizabeth.
