The forest fire released CO2 (Carbon dioxide)which is essential for plants but CO (Carbon monoxide)is harmful to many organism including humans. But the forest fire isn't always bad. Sometimes it is a opportunity for predator to hunt animals while they are fleeing for life. Small animals can hide under rock or burned wood to escape fire. Snakes bury themselves in soil. Some of them isn't so lucky, koalas will climb up to the treetops then stick there.

In horses, the allele for a black coat (B) is dominant over the allele for a brown coat (b). A cross between a black horse and a
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Bb X bb

Explanation:

  • It is given that the allele B for the black coat is dominant over allele b for a brown coat.
  • A dominant allele always leads to the expression of the dominant trait in the heterozygous condition.
  • When a black and brown horse is crossed as given in the question and the result is a brown foal, then the genotype of the brown foal must be bb as the brown coat is a recessive trait.
  • Since each parent contributes one allele each for a given gene, the black horse must have b allele, and hence must be heterozygous Bb.
  • The cross is shown in the punnett square.

D. The scientist uses tennis balls to show the position of the planets and Sun.

Explanation:

In a layman's terms, the solar system is a system consisting of the sun and the planets that orbits around it. These planets are as follows; Mercury, Mars, Earth, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus etc.

According to this question, using a physical model to represent or describe the solar system means the use of physical objects that can easily be seen or identified. Based on this explanation, the use of tennis balls to show the position of the planets and Sun suits the physical model description of our solar system.
