Answer: Meiosis

Explanation:

Meiosis is a cell division that forms genetically different cells and reduces the number of chromosomes. This division only occurs with diploid cells → a 2n cell forms 4 distinct n cells, these cells are the gametes. Gametes are produced in gonads from a specific sequence of events called gametogenesis. Meiosis is always related to the reproduction of organisms.

Meiosis is important because it makes it possible to reduce the number of chromosomes in the cell (from 2n to n) so that, in case of sexual reproduction (fertilization), the diploidy of the species is maintained. And also because of the gene recombination that occurs through crossing-over, generating genetic variability.

Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

E) Scanning electron Microscopy

Explanation:

There are different types of microscopes and each one of then is suitable for a specific purpose.

For instance, the optimum method for a study that requires different cells to be examined and distinguished according to their size shape and 3D characteristic will be Scanning Electron microscopy

A Scanning Electron microscope will be used.

This type of microscope focuses beams of electrons on the surfaces of objects to produce images. From this image the shape , size and 3D characteristics of the cells can be distinguished

Which of the following is NOT a type of synovial joint in the human body? A. pivot B. stirrup C. hinge D. gliding
IrinaK [193]
The option which is not a type of synovial joint in the human body is B. stirrup. All of the other choices, pivot, hinge, and gliding, are types of synovial joints, whereas a stirrup is not. A synovial joint allows for movement, whereas a stirrup is a bone in your ear that brings vibrations into the inner ear. So obviously, it has nothing to do with joints or movement.
