Romans adopted some Etruscan sporting events.

One popular Etruscan sporting event is gladiator fighting. Gladiator fighting began with an Etruscan funeral ritual. This sport was very violent as it involved fighting to death. Another Etruscan sport that Romans adopted is chariot riding
