Why is Oliver so preoccupied with climbing<br> the social ladder?
irakobra [83]

Answer:

Oliver was so preoccupied in climbing the social ladder because<em> he was born in the lower class and wanted a better life.</em> He was actually an orphan who was sold in order to become an apprentice. Due to his struggles, he ran away to London <em>in order to seek for a better living condition.</em>

Explanation:

The question above is related to the story about "Oliver Twist," written by <em>Charles Dickens</em>. It focuses on the character of the child protagonist, Oliver, who was an<u><em> orphan boy.</em></u>

The novel shows the<em> different kinds of social statuses</em>, including<em> child labor</em>. Thus, when Oliver ran away to London, he was recruited by a gentleman who provided his food and lodgings. He later found out that he was actually recruited not to make handkerchiefs and wallets but to do<u> pick-pocketing.</u>

Please make this don't write anything random make it professional choose whatever you want
-BARSIC- [3]

The full moon shines brightly through the trees, making it my only source of light. My heart beats faster than a drum as I walk through the mysterious forest. After hours upon hours of wondering, I stumble upon a shed. Looking at it send shivers down my spine and the feeling of someone watching me strengthens. Not having any other source of shelter, I boldly walk towards the house. My vision starts to darken and my head pounds, but I continue to get closer. I can feel my body shutting down, as if I'm entering a trance. Yet I can't stop walking towards the house. My hand touches the doorknob, but at the same time I feel something touch my shoulder. I glance behind me and there it was. The next thing I knew I blacked out.

This is more of a short ish story that I rushed so you can add or delete anything you dislike, I'm not that good at writing im sorry!

Which choice most effectively displays the concept of comparison and contrast?
neonofarm [45]
Hey there,

Your question states: <span>Which choice most effectively displays the concept of comparison and contrast?

Based on my understanding, the best option from your answers choices above, your correct answer would be </span>\boxed{D}. My reason on why I say that the answer would be "<span>While they are almost the same size, Earth and Venus have very different terrains." is basically because this would be a good compare and contrast. The other options have no click to it to make a concept of making a compare and contrast. Your correct answer would be D.

Correct answer : "</span><span>While they are almost the same size, Earth and Venus have very different terrains"
