The correct answer is - True.

In Western and Central Africa, the risk of maternal death is very high, and it accounts for 1 in 17. There's multiple factors that contribute to this terrible statistics, like the bad medical system, bad economies, lack of infrastructure, practicing giving birth at home etc.

The sheer fact that the biggest portion of the women in this regions in Africa do not have access, or it is very limited to the medical institutions, creates huge problems, as the pregnant women are not treated properly, so they die from infections or complications very often.

Also, the tradition of giving birth at home, is a huge problem, as the conditions are highly unhygienic, and the births are performed by unqualified people that use some traditional and primitive methods.

How many countries does the antarctic circle pass through
Romashka [77]

Answer:

None

Explanation:

The Antarctic Circle, unlike the Arctic Circle, does not officially pass through any country. This is due in part to the lack of land masses at extreme southern latitudes, but also because no country can lay claim to Antarctic per the terms of the Antarctic Treaty.

On the Antarctic continent, the polar circle passes through territory claimed by France, Chile, Great Britain, Argentina and Australia, but none of these are official or recognized claims.
