Answer:

Right choice is:

A large fleet of warships.

Explanation:

Look at the famous historic example. In 1588, Spain´s king Phillip II sent an invasion force to invade England by sea. The formidable force had hundreds of ships and carried soldiers, horses, supplies, canons and other stuff. The naval force was called the "Armada Invencible" or the Invincible Armada. So, an armada is a large fleet of warships.

Do you think that as a nation we have satisfactory progressed in treating all people equally?
Mariana [72]

It can be said that as a nation, the USA has progressed satisfactorily in the treatment of all people equally, this is perceived through the tightening of laws and punishment against discriminatory acts, for example.

Why is equality important in a society?

The Constitution guarantees that all American individuals are equal before the law, that is, no individual will have unequal legal treatment or privilege regardless of physical, social or economic characteristics. Equity in society helps in social development related to the achievement of opportunities and better quality of life for all.

Therefore, despite the progress compared to past periods, there is still much to improve so that there is equity in American society, such as the dissemination of ethics and information on the subject, as well as the creation of public policies for a fairer society.

Read about the Plessy v Ferguson case. In your own words, write a half-page summary discussing the background of the case and th
ch4aika [34]

Plessy vs. Ferguson was a Supreme Court case that took place in 1896. It all started when Homer Plessy, a man who is 1/8th African American, was asked to move from his seat in the all white section of a train car. Plessy refused to move since he had bought a seat in this section. He was promptly arrested for his refusal to abide by this law.

Homer Plessy would go on to change this law saying that it was unconstitutional. His lawyer argued that this was a violation of his 14th amendment rights. However, the Supreme Court ruled against Plessy. The majority opinion from the Supreme Court stated that this did not violate the 14th amendment as long as the facilities for blacks and whites were "separate but equal."

This ruling drastically changed American society, as other businesses and facilities became segregated by race. These laws would last for almost half a century in the United States.
