'Civil Peace' is a short story written by Chinua Achibe. The story is about aftermaths of Civil War happened in Nigeria. Civil Peace is a story predicates about Jonathan Igwebu, who was lucky enough to survive the Civil War along with his wife and three kids.

<u>In the story, when Jonathan received £20 from government treasury, his house was attacked by group of thieves. His interaction with thieves suggests that though the Civil War was over, they were still seeking out for violence by robbing people of their hard-earned money.
