I would agree that in the modern age of social media we create an "unreliable narrator" for our lives. Still, on social media people can be anyone they want, and everyone has insecurities. So, those on social media use it as an excuse to lie about themselves and their lives. Even though many will believe this is harmless, it is still untrue and provides incorrect information about their lives.
