I think it is well constructed. But you could write it this way:

"Katniss Everdeen is a compassionate, selfless character who motivates people to rise up and dare to challenge the confines of their government"

Explanation:

It's pretty much the same, yes, you're thesis is well constructed and really didn't need much changed. I simply added a few extra words.
