What is the difference between Wilson’s Fourteen Points and the Treaty of Versailles?

History

The greatest difference between the 14 points and the ToV is the blame for the war. In the ToV Germany is blamed for the war and the Treaty is more a sentence than terms of an armistice, to where the 14 points was more a negotiated settlement for an armistice. The 14 points may have included and recognized the new German and would have brought that government into the negotiation process. Many aspects would have been difficult for Germany to agree to but instead of the agreement being forced upon them the new German government would have played a role in the resolution. It was the Germans that first accepted the 14 points for an armistice, knew the terms, and exiled there emperor I believe that there would have been strong support to honor the agreement by the German people. The ToV on the other hand was made to punish the Germans, Breakup the German Empire, and have the Germans pay for the war. It was also made to negate the role played by Wilson and the USA in the war. The ToV also allowed the Allied powers to keep their colonies and only the German colonies were, in some point in time, to be open for autonomous rule. The 14 points might have prevented WW2, the ToV was the punishment that bound the German people together to avenge the disgrace.

____ [38]

From the provided options, the conclusion made by James regarding the lack of carbon 14 could be the use of relative dating in estimating the age of fossils.

The third option is the correct answer.

What are fossils?

Fossils are the remains of the dead organisms that are preserved for so many years in a museum.

According to the situation, James analyses that the fossils don't have any content of carbon 14 at the time of estimating the absolute age of that fossil of an animal. This happens may be due to the decay of that fossil over the years.

Question's missing part:

Following are the options in relation to the question:

1) Without carbon-14, it will be an impossible task to estimate the age of the fossil.

2) Finding another fossil nearby without carbon-14 will guarantee that he has matching fossils.

3) Without carbon-14, James can use relative dating to estimate the age of the fossil.

4) The animal's carbon-14 decayed long before the animal died.

5) The animal, whether living or dead, never had carbon-14 in its system.

Therefore, James can use the relative dating process in order to identify the age of an animal fossil.

Capitalist economic relations were considered "free" because of what?
vodomira [7]
Capitalist economic relations were considered free because private individuals or businesses were given the freedom to choose what goods and services they would want to market or produce, where they would want to invest, and at what prices should they set on their goods and services, depending of course, on the supply and demand of the economic market.
