What theories exist for how the moai were moved around easter island?
lesya692 [45]

The evidence on the ground revealed that roads were not part of some overall planned network. Rather they are the remnants of paths that moai transporters took as they walk the statues across the landscape,” they write.

While this helps explain how the statues were moved around the island, it doesn’t explain why.

One of korean photographer atta kim's influences is ________, which holds that the sacred pervades all things.
maks197457 [2]
One of Korean photographer Atta Kim’s influences is Seon Buddhism, which holds that the sacred pervades all things.

Kim has spoken of the influence on his thinking of Seon Buddhism, the Korean variant of Zen. In Seon Buddhist thought, the sacred pervades all things; the material world and sacred realities are one and the same. Seon does not recognize a split between body and soul, and thus a naked body cannot be shameful, and the Buddha is as present in wax candles as he is in a golden statue.
