John Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States. He was in office from 1923 to 1929. As a Vice President, he assumed the presidency after the death of Warren Harding. He was then elected in 1924.

Regarding economic affairs, he favored laissez-faire the liberal model in which transactions between companies and individuals are made freely without government intervention.

Federal spending was neither reduced or increased during his tenure. He prioritized spending cuts and the payment of federal debt. Regarding taxation, and he was granted permission by Congress to reduce tax rates.
