Well I'm doing it an easy way but 50% or half of 698 is about 350.

475 is slightly above 350 so the answer would be 68%

Which equation would you use to find how high the bird is flying?
damaskus [11]

Answer:

The first one

Step-by-step explanation:

An easy way is SOH CAH TOA

SOH is that you use sine if you there is the opposite (in this case the question mark) and hypotenuse (the diagonal line)

CAH is that you use cosine for the adjacent side (1100) and the hypotenuse.

TOA is using tangent for the opposite and adjacent side.

To fine the question mark, you would use tangent. And plug in the given (1100 for the adjacent). So tan45 = x/1100.

(60)x = 1, what are the possible values of x? Explain your answer.
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

\frac{1}{60}

Step-by-step explanation:

Problem:

 The possible values of x in the equation (60)x = 1;

Solution:

Such a problem like this in which the highest power of the unknown is 1 will have just one solution.

       60x  = 1

To solve this, we take the multiplicative inverse of 60;

   the multiplicative inverse of 60 = \frac{1}{60}

   Use this inverse to multiply both sides of the expression;

         \frac{1}{60} x  60x  = 1 x \frac{1}{60}

                   x  = \frac{1}{60}

A family has an annual income of $30,600 Of this, 1/4 is spent for food, 1/5 for housing, 1/10 for clothing, 1/9 for savin
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

$6,120

Step-by-step explanation:

1/5 (one-fifth) of the family's annual income ($30,600) is spent on housing- as the word problem states.

You have to find 1/5 (one-fifth) of* $30,600.

Write it out as an equation.

\frac{1}{5}  \times 30600

*The <em>of</em><em> </em>in the word equation (1/5 of 30600) simply means multiplication.
