Answer:

Structural adaptation: Leaves of a rain forest plant species have a pointed tip that enables rainwater to drain off easily.

Structural adaptation: Camels have nostrils that they can close.

Behavioral: Elephants live in herds to protect their young.

Explanation:

To fully understand how to group the various adaptations listed in this question, their is need to know what each of the adatation is all about.

Structural adaptation is defined as the physical features in living organisms that enable them to tolerate the various environmental and external factors that can affect their survival. The leaves of the rain forest have pointed tip, the pointed tip is a structural adaptation to remove water quickly from the leaves so as to hasten transpiration also. Camels in deserts have nostrils that they can close so that the sand from the desert will not enter their nostril, the curve and lid like nose is a structural adaptation to prevent entrance of these silica elements which may affect the camel's health if not prevented.

Behavioral adaptation is defined as the habitual survival art of living organisms in response to particular external factor which can impede their growth, reproduction and development. The Elephants habitually chose to live among herds so as to protect the young elephant, this is an example of behavioral adaptation.

Functional adaptation is defined is also known as physiological adaptation, it is defined as the internal specialized features that an organism possesses in order to exhibit some metabolic characteristics in order to survive in a particular habitat, example is the production of venom, ion balance, and homeostasis. None of the example fits into this category.

I would say B) 1-3 hours because Bacteria can multiply anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes and if it doubled in size 1-3 hours would be the most reasonable option!
