The author expresses his opinion in this passage with strong wording encouraging readers to take action.

From the initial line of the passage, the author’s choice of words is strong and direct. In the entire passage, he uses such words to provoke in the readers an immediate step towards this issue. He also took the reference of the study which shows that accidents are less prone to the people who drive after drinking in contrast to the people who uses their cellphone while driving. With common examples and provocative words, the focus on the issue gets much attention from the readers.

(Pitchers through at his head.)
Aneli [31]

C) Pitchers threw at his head.

This line "Pitchers through at his head." uses the incorrect "through". This "through" means to go in and out of something, like a doorway. I walked through the doorway into the other room. The sentence needs the "threw" that means to take an object with your hand and propel it to another location. Threw is the past tense of the word throw. It is an irregular past tense verb, so it doesn't follow the rule of adding /ed/ to create past tense.

The Outsiders. Give chapter 11 a title and explain why you chose that title in 2-3 sentences.
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer: Unstable

Explanation:

I would give this chapter the title “Unstable”, because it shows how Ponyboy’s mental condition were really not great after having to accept Johnny’s death as he couldn’t accept the fact Johnny died and that Johnny had killed Bob. (Due to Ponyboy’s mental condition, Ponyboy kept mentioning that he killed Bob even though Johnny killed Bob.)
