A similarity between George McClellan and Robert E. Lee was

History

Answer:

Explanation:

You are really going to have to work hard to convince anyone that there is any kind of similarity.

I can come up with a few trivial points, but the differences were huge.

  1. Both were commander's in chief.
  2. Neither one had to endure the disapproval of the president in office, although Lincoln mightily wanted McClellan to use the army. Of the two presidents (Lincoln and Davis), Lincoln had the patience of Job. He gave McClellan every opportunity until he could stand it no longer.
  3. Both had a fighting army that wanted to fight. McClellan trained his men well, but that was his only accomplishment. Lee was a master strategist. He too, though, believed in a well trained well disciplined army.
  4. Both were military engineers.
  5. Both graduated from West Point.
  6. Both were very handsome men especially McClellan.
  7. Both were married.

I can't help but note that McClellan had the gall to run against Lincoln in the 1864 election. I cannot imagine what would have happened to the Union had he be elected.

If you get the idea I do not like McClellan very much, you'd be quite correct. I just think he took up the wrong profession.

What Made Nonviolent Protest Effective during the Civil Rights Movement?
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

In contrast, the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement chose the tactic of nonviolence as a tool to dismantle institutionalized racial segregation, discrimination, and inequality. Civil rights leaders had long understood the segregationists would go to any length to maintain their power and control over blacks
