Answer:

40 part-time male students were in the survey.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total number of students in the Phoenix high school = 100

Number of female student = 40

Number of male student who went to Phoenix Full time = 20 students

Total number of full time students = 50 students

To Find:

Number of part time male students in the survey = ?

Solution:

we know that the total number of students = 100

Now total number of male students = total number of students - total number of female student

Now total number of male students = 100 - 40 = 60 students

Now among these 60 students, 20 males went to Phoenix

Full time

So the remaining male students = 60-20 =40 students

Hence these 40 students are part-time male students

What is the maximum volume of a pyramid that can fit inside a cube that has side 18 cm long?
Ludmilka [50]
Formula for Volume of cube= 1/3 x area of base x height
as base and height are the same:
So,
Base = 18 cm
Height = 18 cm
Area of base = Base^2
Area of base = 18^2
Area of base = 324 cm
Putting all the values into the formula:
1/3 x 324 x 18
=6 x 324
= 1944 cm^3
So according to above explanation
C) 1944 cm3, is the correct answer.

How do i divide?:-)I nevered learned
Alexeev081 [22]
Division is very simple don't worry. division is the opposite of multiplication.
if i wanted to share 12 cookies with 6 people, i would want to share it evenly.
12 divided 6 = 2 cookies per person

now back to division being the opposite of multiplying. note how 12 divided by 6 = 2, right? well, read that backwards.
2 x 6 = 12. it isn't a coincidence!
now, let's try something different.
i have 8 cookies. i want to split them evenly with a friend. how many do we each get?
8 divided by 2
