The correct answer is D. Collecting taxes

Explanation:

Concurrent power refers to the power that is shared by different levels or entities in the government especially in the case of federal and state government which varies in each country and also changes over time. In the case of the U.S., an example of concurrent power nowadays is collecting taxes because both the federal and state governments or local governments have authority to establish and collect taxes which means power is shared equally. Also, others such as drafting soldiers or coning money are exclusive of the federal system. According to this, the one that is considered a concurrent power is collecting taxes.

please help I will give you the branliest In paragraph two, you will explain at least three differences between Athenian and Ame
Radda [10]

Answer:

1. Athenian democracy was exclusive.  Women, slaves, children, and resident aliens did not have citizenship and could not vote.  They did not have any influence on the government at this time.

2.  Alienation of political power was absurd to the Greek people. Elections were held through a lottery/chance technique, and they only personally selected their military leaders (like Pericles).  "The quintessentially democratic method was selection by lot, a practice that embodies a criterion of selection in principle opposed to the alienation of citizenship and to the assumption that the demos is politically incompetent"

3. Citizenship was determined in a different way, "In ancient Athenian democracy, the right to citizenship was not determined by socio-economic status; but the power of appropriation, and relations between classes were directly affected by democratic citizenship"

Explain how the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Cuban missile crisis, and the Berlin crisis each placed the United States in conflict
leonid [27]

Explanation:

  • Bay of Pigs: Cuba's alliance with the Soviets concerned many Americans. Fearing the Soviets would use Cuba as a base to spread a revolution, President Eisenhower authorized the CIA to train and arm a group known as "La Brigada". Kennedy became president and gave the Brigada the orders to attack. The attack went horribly. The Bay of Pigs made the US look weak and disorganized.
  • Cuban Missile Crisis: Spy planes showed evidence that the Soviets placed long-range missiles in Cuba. A naval blockade was set up around Cuba immediately. The US and Soviets agreed to a treaty that banned testing nuclear weapons in the atmosphere. The missile crisis caused the Soviets to build up their arms which became equal to the Americas in the 1980s.
  • Berlin Wall: Soviet leader Khrushchev wanted to stop the flood of Germans pouring out of Communist East Germany into West Berlin. Kennedy stated his loyalty to West Berlin which caused the Berlin Wall to be built.
