Baker should use 18-kilogram pack so that no salt is left in the end.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find which bag should he buy, we have to check for which bag the 30 grams salt can be taken out completely i.e. which quantity is divided by 30 grams completely.

If a quantity is not divided by 30 completely that means that there will be salt left.

so,

For 800-grams pack:

Salt for one batch of bread = 30-grams

Batches from 800-grams of salt:

= \frac{800}{30}\\=26.66\ \

For 18-kg pack:

First of all we have to convert the kilograms into grams

As there are 1000 grams in one kilogram,

18 kg = 18*1000 grams = 180000 grams

Batches of bread from 18 kg salt:

=\frac{18000}{30}\\=600\ batches

As the 18-kilograms is completely divided by 30, so after 600 batches no salt will be left but in 800 gram pack after 26 batches salt will be left.

So,

Baker should use 18-kilogram pack so that no salt is left in the end.

A scientist was in a submarine below sea level, studying ocean life. Over the next ten minutes, she ascended 61.9 feet. How many
spayn [35]

The scientist was 83.5 feet below sea level while studying ocean life.

Given that:-

Distance the scientist ascended after studying the ocean life = 61.9 feet

Distance below sea level the scientist is after ascending = 21.6 feet

We have to find the distance by which the scientist was below sea level while studying the ocean life.

We know that,

Distance by which the scientist was below sea level while studying the ocean life = Distance the scientist ascended after studying the ocean life + Distance below sea level the scientist is after ascending

Hence, we can write,

Distance by which the scientist was below sea level while studying the ocean life = 61.9 + 21.6 = 83.5 feet.
