A student in today's high school could argue that historians will look back on this generation as one that took a strong stance against gun violence. After the Parkland High School shooting, students all over the country demonstrated peacefully in a walk out to show their disagreement with gun control policies in the United States. This was followed up with the "March for our lives" event on March 24th of this year, advocating for stricter gun control laws.

Gamal Abdel Nasser was the second president of Egypt, from 1956 until 1970. After the nationalization of the Suez Canal, his popularity skyrocketed all over the world. Nasser supported the idea of Pan-arabism, which called for unity among all Arabs. He died of a heart attack during office, which was mourned all over the Arab world. He was also an important figure due to his modernization efforts and anti-imperialist attitudes.
The other areas to greatly impact Japan were the regions of Korea, which was the closest culture to Japan and therefore the main point of contact between Japan and Asia. Through Korea, the major Asian religion Buddhism traveled from China to Japan and became a major influence on Japanese culture. Hope this helped :)
