Taking an art class is important because it introduces you to a complete different style and method of learning. It forces you to think outside the box and more importantly allows you to express yourself. Art also has so many different branches whether it be drawing, painting, sculpting, acting, singing, performing etc so you will definitely be able to find something that interests you (if not more than one).

Depends on what career you want to be in the future, some colleges depending on what you want to major in will require you take are class.
