Okay so you can divide 7 by 2 which would equal 3.5 which is the same as $3.50. So let's focus on the apples first Joe can buy 3 apples with 50 cents left over. Next the bananas 0.75 you can divide 0.75 and 3.50 to see how many bananas he can buy but since we have 50 cents extra you can add that to 3.50 which adds to $4.00 . So 0.75 divided by 4.00 is 5.3 which can be rounded to 5 bananas. So Joe can buy 3 apples and 5 bananas.

hope that this helped you (;

Identify the percent of change as an increase or a decrease. 4/5 to 3/5
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Decrease

Step-by-step explanation:

So, I encourage you to grab a calculator and see for yourself

Put in the function: 4/5 into a standard calculator. You will see that it will come out to .8

Put in the function: 3/5 into a standard calculator. You will see that it will come out to .6

.6 is less than .8, just as 3/5 is less than 4/5.

Another analogy that can be used is seeing the fraction as a real-life object.

Let's say that you make two pies. You cut the pie evenly into five slices. You set them on the table and leave them for whoever wants to eat them. You see that Pie 1 has two slices missing (3/5) and that Pie 2 has one slice missing. (4/5)

3 out of 5 slices are left of Pie 1.

4 out of 5 slices are left of Pie 2.

Pie 1 has less than Pie 2 does.

Hope this has helped!

What is the angular velocity of a point that rotates through
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Angular velocity of an object is defined by,

Angular velocity (w) = \frac{\triangle \theta}{\triangle t}

Here, Δθ = Change in angle of rotation

Δt = Duration or time

In this question Δθ = \frac{7\pi }{2} radians and Δt = 24 seconds

Therefore, angular velocity = \frac{\frac{7\pi }{2} }{24}

                                              = \frac{7\pi }{48} radians per second

Option A is the answer.
