Yao Chen-Yuan wrote the text “My Adventures during the Bower War” in 1900, the war where Christians were persecuted in China. The Boxer Rebellion was an uprising in China from 1899 to 1901. The Uprising was a rebellion against Christians and foreigner people, promoted by nationalist. The Bowers or Yihetuan were at the front of the rebellion.
