"For instance, from here that looks like a bucket of water," he said, pointing to a bucket of water; "but from an ant's point of

view it's a vast ocean, from an elephant's just a cool drink, and to a fish, of course, it's home. So, you see, the way you see things depends a great deal on where you look at them from. Now, come along and I'll show you the rest of the forest." —The Phantom Tollbooth, Norton Juster Read the passage, then explain the point Alec makes about perspective. Answer:

the point that the author is trying to convey is that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. what seems normal and ordinary to you may be someone elses biggest treasure. he bolsters this by giving examples comparing what a bucket of water is for differeent animals. what is a simple thing for the elephant is a home for the fish, and wht is a home for the fish is a big uncrossable path for the mouse.

i hope this helps, please vote me the brainliest :)

Which phrase makes it clear that Roosevelt is aiming his argument at journalist
Monica [59]
THE administration of Theodore Roosevelt was in some respects the first modern presidency. It is with Roosevelt that the most distinctive twentieth-century characteristics of the executive office emerged as more or less permanent traits. Roosevelt put the presidency and the federal government at the center of peacetime political action. He made the White House a national focus for the social mood and did much to set the moral tone of his times. He exploited the president's powers as commander in chief to initiate a forceful, independent foreign policy, deploying military forces abroad without direct (or any) consultation with Congress. And he extended presidential initiatives in policymaking to the domestic scene on an unprecedented scale, putting forward reform proposals for congressional action and using executive orders to promote major innovative programs.

Which of the following sentences uses concrete language? A. I met Cathy at a store on a street near the bridge. B. Danny's Labra
r-ruslan [8.4K]
Best answer is
A) I met Cathy at a store on a street near the bridge.

Although every option features concrete language, this can be considered the most concrete sentence. Concrete language, the opposite of abstract language, features little to no ambiguity in meaning, and is specific in its description. The less imagination you need to fully interpret the sentence, the more concrete it is.
