Odysseus was said to have the defining character traits of a Homeric leader which include strength, courage, a thirst for glory, and confidence in his authority and His most distinguishing trait is his sharp intellect.

Ulysses is in fact a hero due to the fact that he possesses all of the character traits a hero has. Ulysses is brave and loyal to both his men and his family

Odysseus often shows many heroic qualities that help save his men from many dangerous and difficult situations .
