How does the poem "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson convey the position of Victorian women? A curse is on her if sh

e stay To look down to Camelot. She knows not what the curse may be, And so she weaveth steadily, And little other care hath she, The Lady of Shalott. And moving thro' a mirror clear That hangs before her all the year, Shadows of the world appear. There she sees the highway near Winding down to Camelot: There the river eddy whirls, And there the surly village churls, And the red cloaks of market girls, Pass onward from Shalott.

The poem "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson conveyed the position of Victorian women that most of these women were restricted to their homes. It show us that Victorian women were not objects of desire or sexual preference, but of manners and behavior.

The Victorian Era was the period of Queen Victoria's reign, from 1837 to 1901. The Victorian women was seen as belonging to the domestic sphere, and had very limited privileges. The Lady of Shalott is a beautiful poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, written around 1833.

This particular text describes an abstract idea of the thoughts that a Victorian woman could conceive, in the same way that the Lady of Shalott could.

She enjoys her solitary world, even though she expresses a deep frustration about this 'world of shadows' around her. Let's remeber that during the Victorian era, women had very limited privileges and a small participation in society. This could have been her 'world of shadows'.

Ideally, this text would describe how Lord Tennyson perceived society in his era and he used the Lady of Shalott to reflect these thoughts and perceptions.

Happy to help!

In order to provide a thorough presentation of a topic, a research question must
Genrish500 [490]
The answer is DEFINITELY "B". It is B because when you have a research question you are researching about an issue that is occurring in the world such as police brutality, the Trump presidency, etc, this is why you do research so you can learn more about the topic and ultimately form your own opinion about the topic, when you create a research paper you would almost always have you argument (which is your opinion on the topic) and a counterargument (which is an argument that goes AGAINST your argument), a paper wouldn't be right without a counter argument because it would seem as if you are saying that your opinion is the only valid opinion. When you add your counter argument you are stating that even though other people might say THIS about the topic they would be wrong because of THIS

I HOPE this the questins thank you

Write a short paragraph to describe room in your house (at least 50 words)
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

My bedroom is on the second floor, next to my brother's bedroom. Although it is small, my bedroom is cozy and I like to spend my time there. It is also very bright and full of warm colors.

When you open the door, you can see a window with blue curtains and some small plants. There is a white desk with a red chair in the right corner, where I usually do my homework, and next to the desk there is a large wardrobe, where I keep my clothes. On the left, you will find a small bed, and besides the bed, there is a large shelf with books, photos, and many important memories. In front of my bed, there is a white bookcase where I usually put my laptop, pencils, keys, and other small stuff that could be hard to find. Someday, I would like to adapt it to my current needs, but I still like it because it makes me happy.

Explanation:

Description of any room should include: things it contains, where it is located, its importance to you, and another detail that readers might find interesting. You should provide some additional information, about the colors, positioning, organization, or things you can do there.

To make an adequate description, make sure your work contains well-structured paragraphs, with a lot of adjectives and explanations.

The speaker in "At the Tourist Centre in Boston" finds the display about Canada ______
tatyana61 [14]
The answer is D: "The speaker in "At the Tourist Centre in Boston" finds the display about Canada unreal." The speaker in the poem refers to the display as a "dream", a "hallucination" and a "fiction". All three words refer to something that is not real. The speaker sees the depiction of her own country as something that does not reflect as she remembers her home. Obviously if the speaker finds the depiction to be unreal, she cannot find it to be realistic (option A) as well. For something to be realistic and unreal would be contradictory.Furthermore, the speaker does not suggest any romantic (option B) feelings being evoked by the display. Finally, the speaker's words do not convey a sense of amusement (option C), even as she compares the display with her prior memories of Canada.
