The salad bowl concept suggests that the integration of the many different cultures of United States residents combine like a salad, as opposed to the more traditional notion of a cultural melting pot. New York City can be considered as being a "salad bowl".
They did not want the states to have all the power
Benjamin Banneker was a free African-American almanac author, surveyor, landowner and farmer who had knowledge of mathematics and natural history. Born in Baltimore County, Maryland, to a free African-American woman and a former slave, Banneker had little or no formal education and was largely self-taught. :)
The economy in the United States in the 1920's varied greatly from European countries. After WWl, Europe struggled to rebuild. Europe had taken the brunt of the attacks and went into a deep depression. The United States in contrast boomed. The economy was better than ever before. Since no attacks had happened on American soil, we were able to mass produce consumer goods, etc. People were buying on credit, investing in the stock market, and moving to the city. Life was good in America; not so good in Europe.
The settlers believed they were better than the natives and could do whatever they wanted to them they felt entitled to the land and resources and had no problems taking it so basically the settlers thought they could do whatever they wanted and the Indians didn’t take kindly to it
