What role did Kiaser William 2 of Germany play in the events leading to World War 1

History
1 answer:
Tamiku [17]3 years ago
3 0

While Wilhelm did not actively seek war, and tried to hold back his generals from mobilizing the German army in the summer of 1914, his verbal outbursts and his open enjoyment of the title of Supreme War Lord helped bolster the case of those who blamed him for the conflict. The kaiser was out of touch with the realities of international politics in 1914; he thought that his blood relationships to other European monarchs were sufficient to manage the crisis that followed the June 1914 assassination of the Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand (1863-1914) in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Although Wilhelm signed the order for German mobilization following pressure from his generals–Germany declared war against Russia and France during the first week of August 1914– he is reported to have said, “You will regret this, gentlemen.”

Think about the loopholes built into Prohibition laws. Even though alcohol was “prohibited,” which of these things were American
gtnhenbr [62]

The correct answer is A) Drink alcohol and D) Buy alcohol for medical reasons.

The 18th amendment strictly prohibited the "sale, distribution, and manufacturing" of alcohol. However, it says nothing about drinking alcohol within the amendment. Along with this, doctors still had the ability to give citizens alcohol if it was for medical purposes. This resulted in thousands of Americans gaining access to alcohol legally during the 1920's.

How did a more advanced knowledge of monsoon winds help stimulate trade from Africa to Asia
matrenka [14]
Monsoons are one of the most destructive natural phenomena in Asia, but they also limit Africa's trade with the Asian continent, as navigation is severely affected by strong monsoon winds; this affects trade between the two continents, as merchant ships travel from Africa to across the Indian Ocean (which is the monsoon zone), so understanding when and how the winds form will help keep the cargo ships and merchandise, thus increasing trade between Afrika and Asia.

following the construction of the wall what were the only official ways to cross between east and west berlin
Anarel [89]
The Soviet Union had set up official border stations in which you had to cross to get to the other side. Eventually, they had set it up so they're was only one safe way to get to West Berlin, just one border stations. These border stations were quite strict, as they had people trying all sorts of crazy ways to get to West Berlin.
