Solution:  Scatter plot is a graphical tool to determine the strength of linear relationship between the dependent and independent variables. In the scatter plot, the dependent variable is taken along the y axis and independent variable along the x-axis. In our example, temperature is considered along x axis and rainfall along the y-axis. Each pair of observation of temperature and rainfall is represented by a dot on the scatter plot.

Answer with explanation:

Data was collected about the amount of rainfall in inches according to temperature.

A scatter plot is known by many names.

1.  scatter graph,

2.→ scatter chart,

3.→ scatter gram,

4.→ scatter diagram

is a plot drawn on two dimensional plane using ordered pair which shows relationship between two variables .

→As temperature increases amount of Rainfall decreases.So, the two variables are inversely proportional to each other that is with increase in one other decreases and vice versa.

→ Any of the two variables can be represented on X axis and other on Y axis.

→→Mark the points that is amount of rainfall and temperature on coordinate plane.If these points are closely attached it means strong relationship between two variables and if quite apart from each other then it means strong Dissociation between two.

EXPLAIN IN YOUR OWN WORDS PLEASE!!!! ILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!
kap26 [50]

Answer: 55 \frac{5}{9} feet² or 55.556 feet²

Step-by-step explanation:

      The scale means that for ever one in the scale drawing, it is 20 in the actual room. We will convert the dimensions using proportions.

  \frac{5}{x}=\frac{1}{20}

  100 = x

-> The length is 100 inches

  \frac{4}{x}=\frac{1}{20}

  80 = x

-> The width is 80 inches

    The area of a rectangle can be found by multiplying the length by the width:

A = L * W

A = 100 * 80

A = 8,000 inches²

  To get this into square feet, we will divide by 144. Why? There are 12 inches in a foot. 12 times 12 is 144.

8,000 inches² / 144 = 55 \frac{5}{9} feet²

            The area of the room, in square feet, is 55 \frac{5}{9} feet².

cylinder has radius 2.5 cm and lateral area 20π cm2.20π cm2. 20 pi . cm squared , . What is the surface area of the cylinder in

LA=2\pi rh\qquad
\begin{cases}

LA=20\pi \\
r=2.5

\cfrac{20\pi }{2\cdot 2.5\pi }=h\implies \boxed{4=h}\\\\

For each one of the following statements, indicate whether it is true or false.
dexar [7]

Solution :

a). $\text{Var} (X|Y) =E ((X-E(X|Y))^2 |Y)$

  Now, if X = Y, then :

  P(X|Y)=\left\{\begin{matrix} 1,& \text{if } x=y \\ 0, & \text{otherwise }\end{matrix}\right.

Then, E[X|Y] = x = y

So, $\text{Var} (X|Y) =E((X-X)^2 |Y)$

                      $=E(0|Y)$

                      = 0

Therefore, this statement is TRUE.

b). If X = Y , then Var (X) = Var (Y)

And as Var (X|Y) = 0, so Var (X|Y) ≠ Var (X), except when all the elements of Y are same.

So this statement is FALSE.

c). As defined earlier,

  $\text{Var} (X|Y) =E ((X-E(X|Y))^2 |Y=y)$

  So, this statement is also TRUE.

d). The statement is TRUE because $\text{Var} (X|Y) =E ((X-E(X|Y))^2 |Y=y)$.

e). FALSE

   Because, $\text{Var} (X|Y) =E ((X-E(X|Y=y))^2 |Y=y)$

Write the equation 5x + 4y = 10 so that y is a function of x.
Virty [35]
  5x + 4y = 10
- 5x          - 5x
          4y = -5x + 10
           4           4
            y = -1¹/₄x + 2¹/₂

The answer is D.
