Read the statement below and decide whether you agree or disagree with it. Be prepared to support your opinion with details from

the reading. Here's your discussion prompt:
We can't have heroes without monsters.
What do you think? Write a paragraph supporting your opinion and then write a reply paragraph. If you're working with others, your reply paragraph should respond to the ideas of another student. If you're working alone, your reply paragraph should support the opposite point of view from your own.

We can't have hero's without villains/monsters. So I AGREE. Because hero's are only hero's because of the fact of us having monsters. Who would they face? Nothing? Then they wouldn't be hero's. We need bad things /people to have HERO'S to save and help us otherwise if everything was perfect, we wouldn't need hero's.

Answer:

I Agree 100% because the heroes defeat the monsters that have demolished our town took our cattle. Then the hero comes along and defeats the monster. Then the town likes hooray and is also like our hero. Then when another monster comes it starts all over again. For example if u have read the Ranger Apprentice series then you know Ranger Will has fought all kinds of monsters. Hope this helps.

Which problem is illustrated by the following sentence?
IRINA_888 [86]

Answer: The problem that is illustrated by the sentence provided is "grammatically incorrect".

Explanation: The sentence "I joined the others by the fire however they were about to go to bed" is grammatically incorrect because it contains punctuation mistakes. The sentence provided includes a connector ("however") that is joining two independent clauses. Punctuation rules state that a semicolon must always be added before "however" and that a comma must always come after it. In that way, as the sentence provided does not include a semicolon nor a comma, the sentence is grammatically incorrect. The correct way of writing it is: "I joined the others by the fire; however, they were about to go to bed".

RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

“Thanks, Dad.” When I was four years old, my dad and I planted a tree in our front yard. It was a tiny, fragile sapling. He promised me that it would grow tall and strong, but he said that I had to be patient. Until I turned 18 years old, Dad and measured it every year on my birthday.

Explanation:

The verb to plant is used in the first sentence in the past tense because it girl is talking from about a specific moment in the past. In the last sentence verb to measure is in the past simple tense. Past simple tense is used because every year she and her Dad repeat this action.
